Daily Prayer: Genesis 1:27

Let us pray:

Dear God, we thank you for creating us in your image. You have given us the privilege of being your representatives on this earth. Help us to always remember that we are created in your image and that we should reflect your love, goodness, and kindness to everyone we meet.

We pray that you help us to see ourselves and others through your eyes. May we not be quick to judge, but may we see the divine spark that you have placed within each one of us. May we treat others with respect and dignity, knowing that they too are created in your image.

We also pray that you help us to understand and embrace the uniqueness of our gender and the genders of those around us. May we celebrate the differences you have created and work towards building a world where everyone feels valued and respected.

Thank you, God, for creating us in your image. May we live our lives in a way that brings glory to you. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
